21 transformative days on the banks of the sacred Ganges — where yoga was born. Gain your internationally recognized RYT-200 certification, deepen your practice, and learn to teach with authentic Himalayan lineage.
Nestled at Shivpuri — 10 km upstream from central Rishikesh, at the foot of the Himalayas — Yogada Ashram sits exactly where ancient sages first codified the science of yoga. The roar of the Ganges, the reserve forests, and the mountain air form a living classroom no studio can replicate.
Our 200-hour YTTC is rooted in Sattya Yoga: the pure, traditional system passed down through Himalayan yogis, drawing from the Vedas, Upanishads, Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, and Gherand Samhita. This is not a wellness retreat with yoga classes. This is a rigorous, structured teacher training in yoga's authentic lineage.
Whether you come from New York, London, Berlin, or Sydney — our curriculum is designed to meet Western practitioners where they are and guide them into the depth of the tradition.
Yogada's 200-hour program covers every dimension of yoga — physical, mental, energetic, and philosophical — preparing you to teach with depth and confidence.
Hatha and Vinyasa methodology with anatomical understanding. Learn safe sequencing, hands-on assists, and adaptations for diverse student bodies.
Traditional yogic breathing techniques, their physiological effects, and how to teach them progressively to beginner and advanced students alike.
Patanjali's eight limbs, Vedantic philosophy, and daily seated meditation practice. Theory grounded in lived experience at one of yoga's most sacred sites.
Traditional yogic purification practices (kriyas) taught in their classical context — a dimension rarely covered in standard teacher trainings outside India.
One-on-one Ayurvedic consultation on Day 2. Understand your Dosha, optimize your own practice, and learn how to personalize yoga for your future students.
Class structure, cueing language, sequencing principles, student observation, and the soft skills that make an extraordinary yoga teacher.
Hawan fire ceremonies, Vedic chanting, and Deeksha — the ancient Guru-Shishya initiation ceremony that marks the beginning of your teaching path.
Supervised teaching practice, peer review, and a Graduation Ceremony on Day 21. Walk away with your Yoga Alliance USA RYT-200 certificate.
We've added eight value-packed extras to every 2026 course placement — at no additional cost.
Each day is thoughtfully structured — balancing practice, study, integration, and rest.
