Navratri Yoga & Meditation Retreat in the Himalayas

This year in the brighter months of the year that is October, when the feminine energy is strongest in the cosmos, we will together create a retreat on the banks of mother Ganga, the living vibrating feminine energy of India.
Spanned over nine days Navratri is most celebrated festival in India, observed in the honor of mother Godess Mahadevi. Its is observed for different reasons in different way all over India mostly in north & eastern India, but the common theme is battle & victory of Goddess Durga or Kali over the over Demon Mahishasur.
Celebrations include worshipping the Goddess in her Different Incarnations for nine days.
Amidst pure nature at the foothills of the Himalaya at Yogada Ashram Retreat we will practice different dimension of yoga, Meditation & kriya’s that will help us to transform to much higher level in life as a human being. The retreat will include daily hikes in the Himalayan foot hills, yoga & meditation session on the silver sand beaches of Ganga and visit to special events and some ashram & temples in Rishikesh & nearby places.

Outlined Itinerary

3 Oct. 2024 Day 01.
Arrive Yogada in the Himalayas by Afternoon. Check in & orientation with a traditional welcome drink.
Meet the other participants. Early Evening visit the ancient Shiva temple for blessings. Evening Deeksha ( Initiation) from Guru to Seeker as per the Vedic traditions followed by meditation.
Evening dinner around the cleansing fire. Overnight Yoagda.

4 Oct 2024 Day 02.
Early morning after a cup of tea proceed for Jungle walk in the adjacent reserve forests of Himalayan foothills. Arrive back & cleansing session. After wash n change & fruits 1st Asana Session understanding Asanas the Hatha way.
Breakfast. Later Hawan- the cleaning within & around as per the ancient Indian vedic system. Lunch. After lunch rest for an hour n half.
Early afternoon another session of Ashtanaga Yoga. Tea Break.
Evening special session for Understanding deeper dimensions of Yoga. Devi Pooja & Blessings with Mantras. Dinner & Overnight yoga.

5th  Oct Day 03 to 11th October (Ashtami)
Early morning after a cup of tea proceed for Jungle walk in the adjacent reserve forests of Himalayan foothills. Arrive back & cleansing session. After wash n change & fruits 1st Asana Session understanding Asanas the Hatha way.
Breakfast.
Cleaning & Decorating the Devi followed by puja & explanations.
Lunch. After lunch rest for an hour n half.
Early afternoon another session of Ashtanaga Yoga. Tea Break.
Evening special session for Understanding deeper dimensions of Yoga. Devi Pooja & Blessings with Mantras. Dinner & Overnight yoga.

12th October: Day 10
Early morning after a cup of tea proceed for Jungle walk in the adjacent reserve forests of Himalayan foothills. Breakfast.
The Retreat Terminates. Depart for onward destination.
